What sort of activities can I enjoy at Grand Targhee during the summer?
Music Festivals
Two huge summer music festivals (Bluegrass Festival and Targhee Fest) bring in music lovers from all over. Each festival spans a full weekend in either July or August. On-site camping, food vendors, and resort activities make this a one of a kind venue for music in the Tetons.
Scenic Chairlift Ride
Get to the top of Fred's Mountain via the Dreamcatcher chair for stunning views of the Teton Range and Teton Valley. From the top you can either visit the Summit Nature Center and ride the lift back down, hike down, or ride a mountain biking trail.
Mountain Biking
The ever growing network of mountain biking trails at Grand Targhee lure in many biking enthusiasts. Take your pick from a nice variety of cross country trails or take the lift up to access a few epic downhill trails. Bike rentals are available at the base of the resort.
Hiking Trails
A handful of designated hiking trails begin and end at the resort base.
Disc Golf
Targhee boasts an 18-hole disc golf course that winds through the mountain's forested areas. Access to the course is free. Disc rentals are available.
Nature Centers
Two nature centers (one at the summit of Fred's Mountain and one in the base area) offer guided nature tours and educational programs.
Horseback Riding
Take in the Targhee views on horseback. 1-hour, 2-hour, and corral rides (for kids) are available.
Swimming Pool
A salt water pool at the base of the resort? It doesn't get much better. Available for lodging guests and summer members only.
Climbing Wall
Kids will love a session of climbing at the resort's base area climbing wall. 15 minute sessions are available all day.
Dining and Live Music
A fine-dining restaurant, cafe, and full bar offer great eats, while the summer live music calendar will surprise you with talent.
