A vacation to the Yellowstone and Jackson Hole areas is thrilling, seeing some incredible scenery and viewing amazing wildlife. Big Sky, Montana will just add to the adventure. A little over 20 miles north of the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park, Big Sky's alpine setting is worth experiencing.
In the winter you'll find, of course, great downhill skiing, cross-country for those brave souls, and plenty of snowmobiling and other snowy sports. In the summer, a horseback ride in the backcountry or mountain biking the forest paths can't be beat.
It's simple to reach Big Sky from Jackson Hole. Just get on Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway (US-26) for about 29 miles to go left on US 89 (be prepared for some tolls on this road). When you reach US 191, you'll go left and continue on 191 and US 20 to MT 64, and follow the signs to Big Sky.
